Sellers – Right Price, Right Time
If you are a seller of carbon units then you need to know where you can find the best price and when the best time is to sell. The current market spot price may not be the only option available to you.
We give you weekly updates on the NZ market and we also broker local trades in your region. You must make sure you are selling at the right price and at the right time.
There are real opportunities that exist over the next 12 months. Sellers should be looking seriously at the market during this period.
Buyers
From the 1st of July 2010, the first emitters will enter into the scheme. This means that NZ will have a domestic carbon market that is liquid. There is a projected shortage of credits currently available on the market to meet NZ’s demand. This will drive up prices towards the $25 cap currently in place until Dec 31 2012.
